Reyers and other Democrats currently on the committee told reporters Thursday that the GOP is waging a politically motivated attack on the speaker — and that she has received an unfair ride in the press.
The Democrats are complaining about politically motivated attacks and an unfair press? Are you kidding me?! Have they been on this planet for the last 8 years?!
The CIA and Porter Gross both contradict Pelosi's many changing statements, but suddenly it's a witch hunt and the CIA is lying.

with irresponsible undertakings, and you tell him I said so," said Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.), referring to Rep. Pete Hoekstra, the ranking Republican on the committee and a leading Pelosi critic.
Alcee Hastings gives the motivations of the Dems away when he tries to tell the media to "get" a Republican. That is what they are trying to do with these investigations into so-called "torture" - get Republicans and former Bush officials. This is all nasty political payback that threatens our national security and that's ok in the name of getting Republicans, but now that it's in the process of dragging down the Speaker, it's out of bounds.
Sounds like the Democrats don't like the taste of their own medicine. Perhaps they shouldn't be so quick to prescribe it.

It's about time she gets called out on all of the political pandering. She got caught, and even the left in the press know it.
Having Alcee Hastings weigh in on this is priceless. If there is anyone that has benefited from being protected by the press it's Alcee "acquittals for a price" Hastings.

Watching her stammer in that press conference was hilarious. The libs intended this to be a big witch hunt into the Bush administration and now that it is coming back to bite them (because, hello, many of them were in Congress during the Bush administration and took part in some decisions) they are backpedaling and trying to deflect attention away from themselves. Serves them right, IMO.
Pelosi is about to be thrown under the bus as she has become a complete embarrassment to the left. Obama is a smart politician and probably won't put up with distraction for too much longer. CNN can't save her now.
Pelosi represents why the GOP needs to (at least for now) be the party of 'no.' Saying 'no to San Fran Nan is no dishonor.

Pelosi is awful... More than that, I'm just sick of the lies coming from both sides of the isle incessantly. These guys (and gals) are all about power and self preservation and nothing more. The idea that one side is more ethical, just, righteous, etc is just comical. Each side accuses the other over and over of doing what it did just a few months before... both sides are morally bankrupt. Any ideas on how to legislate honesty? ethics? integrity?
